poğaça turkish stuffed sandwiches recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of white flour (1kg)
  • 200 ml lukewarm water
  • 200 ml lukewarm milk
  • 200 ml of sunflower oil
  • 1 pack of yeast
  • 5 tbsp smoothed sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1,5/2 cubes of Turkish cheese
  • 2 egg yolk
  • Sesame

Preparation:

  1. Put the water, milk, sunflower oil, yeast, sugar and salt in a bowl.
  2. Mix it together and add the flour little by little.
  3. Crumble the Turkish cheese and set it aside.
  4. Make balls of the dough and put the cheese in it. You make balls slightly larger than a walnut.
  5. Cover the buns with a clean tea towel and let it rise on a baking tray lined with baking paper for an hour.
  6. Brush the buns with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame after rising.
  7. Put it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until the sandwiches turn orange / brown.

Tip: If you are with a smaller company, you can use half the ingredients. You then get about 1 baking tray full instead of 2 baking trays.
